As I photographed this object, I was finding trouble focusing due to my lack of a macro-lense. However, after looking at the pictures again, I am very happy with the look I achieved. I don't use this often, only for special occasions. But I do think it's good for anyone to have a good go-to lipstick.
This specific object I only use in the summer. Because I'm out of school and not doing as much academic work, I use it as a reminder to keep myself busy. Also, I noticed that a fair amount of people in my generation cannot read a clock. I refuse to be one of these people. I found this shell while on vacation, visiting my great-aunt and uncle. We were walking the beach looking for cool shells and glass pieces. I almost lost this piece and was relieved to find it hidden in my luggage when I got home. I am mostly reminded of my time at the beach with my grandmother when looking at this. In the first image I had tied multiple slip knots into my headphones. This is a nervous habit that I am guilty of doing on a daily. I listen to music and am "plugged in" to my phone and music on a daily as well. It probably isn't healthy, but I really enjoy some moments I have with just me and my music. This object reminds me of multiple memories, but the strongest one is of my multiple years at camp Al-Gon-Quian. Having gone to the camp for eight years, I have many amazing memories there. On the last night of every year that I went, everyone stands in a circle with a candle lit in their palm and only leave once the flame is gone. This is a melancholy memory, but it also reminds me of the amazing place from my childhood. |
